Whangarei Heads Arts Trail
Whangarei Heads Arts Trail happens during Easter Weekend every year. The vibrant arts community at Whangarei Heads opens their studios and stage large exhibitions throughout the peninsula. There are over 50 artists showcasing the best in possibly any medium you can imagine. This year there are numerous visiting artists as well.
You may wish to make a long weekend out of it so be sure to secure your accommodation early.
Stop by any of the large exhibitions at the local community halls and other studios along the trail.
This event spans the entire weekend so this is a great opportunity for a weekend getaway. You can browse the galleries and open studios during the morning and head out to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Whangarei Heads in the afternoon.
The trail follows a scenic 35 km drive and as usual entry to all halls and studios is free. Detailed locations, a great map as well as further information on each individual artist, can be found on the Whangarei Heads Arts Trail website.
The trail showcases some of the most beautiful coastal areas on the east coast of Whangarei. Furthermore, there will be plenty of good food and scenery along the way.
