The area is home to the Te Whara Track at Bream Head Scenic Reserve.  This track is rated in the top 6 day walks in the country. Furthermore, Mt Manaia is rated among the top 14 short walks. As a result, this is a fantastic destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Get up and close with the abundant wildlife throughout the native forest. Bream Head Conservation Trust with their invaluable conservation efforts continue to enhance this area. As a result, the area is one of only 6 kiwi reserves in the country.
